The customer's challenge:
The welding of ZSB reinforcement profiles had to be automated in order to increase process quality, reliability, and reduce cycle times.
The system solution:
A complete and autonomous robot welding system was realized. Two robots from Fanuc position and weld the components fully autonomously.
The first robot removes the parts from the buffer belt and positions them on the ceramic pins at the welding station. Then the threaded plates are placed correctly and the parts are automatically welded. The second robot removes the finished parts and positions them on the discharge conveyor.
Advantages for the customer:
Thanks to the large component buffer of the parts feeder, the system can produce autonomously for a long time. The cycle time and the throughput of the cell could be increased significantly.
