Processing, cleaning, and assembling of cast components


From the cast component to a complete product!

Individually and precisely tailored to the requirements of the customer: This production line was created according to this principle. The following work steps are carried out by the system in three linked robot cells.

  1. Machining/metal cutting
  2. Cleaning components, in a rotary cycle
  3. Component testing and assembly of 4 pods

The transfer from the processing steps to the cleaning as well as on to the assembly takes place via a buffer shelves between the cells.

The entire system can be operated by a single operator, who is in charge of both loading and unloading of mesh boxes. The conveying belts are generously dimensioned to allow an unmanned running time of approx. 10 minutes.

The cycle time is specified by the machining and sums up to approx. 20 seconds per component.

Even in two-shift operation from Monday to Friday, the usual call-off quantity of 10,000 pieces per week is achieved.


Two Fanuc M-710-C/70s handle the loading and unloading of the machining centre and the rotary cleaning system. Another Fanuc M-10iA/12 handles the component in the testing and assembly cell.
